CENTER FIREWALL STIFFENER, FIREWALL SIDE STIFFENER

 

 

With a Step Drill, the holes for the Bungee Pin was expanded to 5/8” diameter.

 

Then, 4 holes around the Bungee Pin with a minimum distance from Bungee Pin hole and the edge was expanded with a #20 drill bit.

 

 

The radius on the front edge of the Upper Bearing was filed to match the radius of the Front Flange of the Top Stiffener. With a Nose Gear Leg, the Upper Bearing was positioned. The Nose Gear Leg was checked not to make contact with the Top Stiffener.

 

The Top Stiffener was clamped and back drilled into the Upper Bearing. Then, it was cleco. The holes was expanded to 3/16” and cleco.

 

 

With a #20 drill bit, the L angle was drilled through Firewall and Firewall Rear Reinforcement.
