FORWARD FUSELAGE

Clamped Left Heal Support Gusset with a wood and G-clamp. The gusset is checked so that cannot move before drilling.

With #40 drill bit, we drilled the 4 marks that we have measured before. The next process to install the gusset is postponed until the L-angles are installed on the forward side skins.

We have positioned the left cabin side on the left rear fuselage by inserting the longeron and clecoed the left cabin side to the rear fuselage.

We then checked the length of the longeron at the baggage back. The longeron head to be trimmed to fit against the baggage bak. We then mark a line along the baggage back to the longeron.

Then, we uninstall the left cabin side, side and lay it out on the working table. The mark are shown with a black straight line on the edge of the longeron.

With a hacksaw, we then cut longeron along the line while clamping it on the table. With a grinder, we smoothen the edge. Then we filed excessive material on the edge of the longeron that has just been trimmed.

The left cabin side is then installed on the rear fuselage and clecoed. The longeron is then checked so that it is against the baggage back.

The right cabin side is also done as the same method as the left cabin side. The right cabin side longeron is measured and marked on the end of the longeron so that it is against the baggage back. The excessive longeron is then trimmed with grinder. The longeron is then smoothen by filling. The right cabin side is then installed to the right rear fuselage and the longeron is then checked so that it is against the baggage back.

Picture shows how the left rear and right cabin sides are installed on the rear fuselage.

Lower longeron, 75F13-1 parts is checked for its length.

Right lower longeron is clamped on the right side cabin floor. We checked both edge of the longeron so that it is equal on both side on the edge of the cabin floor. The edge is also check so that the longeron is flushed to the cabin floor.

With a #40 drill bit, we back drilled in the lower longeron and clecoed as shown. Some forward fuselage parts are removed to ease the drilling process.

As on the left side longeron, we clamped it on the left cabin floor. We also checked both end of the longeron so that it is equal on both end of the cabin floor. We then back drilled through the cabin floor into lower longeron and cleco with #40 drill bit and #40 size cleco.

On both Lower Aft longeron, we placed a mark 120mm from the end of the flange that points down when installed. Then, on both aft longeron, we marked a line from the 120mm mark to the end of the lower longeron.

On the both lower front longerons, we placed a 20mm mark from the front edge on the same flange as previously done. A line marked from the front edge to the 20mm mark.
