FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION

 

Today, we continue to tighten bolts on the Lower Engine Mount Fitting and also the Upper Mount Engine Mount Fitting. 2 bolts AN3-4A, 2 washer AN960-10 and 2 SL Nuts AN365-1032 is used as in the plan

 

As shown in the picture below, we have torque 4 nuts for both Upper Engine Mount Fitting on both side of the fuselage. The detail are shown below:

After the process, there are twp protruded threads on the bolts

 

Torque seal are then applied to both of the nuts

 

 

Next we continue to the process of tighten the nuts for the firewall Upper Bearing (75F9-6).
The plan calls for 4 bolts AN3, therefore we have selected 4 pieces AN3-6A Bolts, 4 pieces washers AN960-10 and 4 pieces AN365-1032 SL Nuts. The value of the torque is 23 in.lb. Then, torque seal is applied to the nuts

Next we continue to install 4 bolts on the Lower Engine Mount Fitting (75F14-1), with 4 pieces of AN3-5A Bolts, 4 pieces of washer AN960-10, and 4 pieces of AN365-1032 SL nuts. The value of the torque is 23 in.lb. Then, torque seal is applied to the nuts. We still were missing two sets of AN3-5A Bolts, 2 pieces of washer AN960-10, and 2 pieces of AN365-1032 SL nuts for the other two holes at this moment. The holes are now being temporarily held by clecos.
