RIGHT REAR FUSELAGE SKIN

The 580mm long Rear Z Channel, the 622mm long Right and Left Z Channel was positioned on the Bottom Skin so the center line was visible through the predrilled holes on the sides of the access hole. With a #40 drill bit, the Bottom Skin was back drilled into the Z Channels and the Z Channels was cleco to the Bottom Skin.

 

 

2 pieces of L angle was cut by 192mm long. A center line was draw on one flange of each L angle. The L angles was positioned on the Bottom Skin between the Z channels and the edge of the skin. When the center line was visible through the predrilled holes in the skin, with a #40 drill bit, the center line was drilled  and Cleco. The holes was expanded with a #30 drill bit.

 

 

The L angles was cut to the proper length for the lateral stiffeners. Then, the L Angles was overlap to the Longerons. A center line was draw on the flanges of the L angles. The L Angles was positioned on the Bottom Skin so the center line visible through the predrilled holes. With a #40 drill bit, the Bottom Skin was back drilled into the L angles and Cleco. This procedure was repeated for the diagonal L Angles. The diagonal L Angles do not overlap any other stiffeners.

 

The Rear Bottom Skin was cleco to the Bottom Skin. The Longeron was positioned on the side of the Bottom Skins.The Longeron was properly positioned when the skin was against the lip on the Longeron at the start of the radius.The Longeron was positioned so there was excess on each end of the Skins, they will be trimmed later.The holes in the Rear Bottom Skins was back drilled with a #40 drill bit into the Longerons and Cleco.With a #30 drill bit, the holes was expanded.

 

Longerons was drilled with A4 drill size from rear until up to the front first L angle that are located near access hole.
