TOP FUSELAGE SKIN AND REAR FUSELAGE ASSEMBLY

 

Top fuselage skin

 

The top longerons was attached to the top skin and drilled with a #40 drill bit from front to rear.

With a #40 drill bit, the lateral and diagonal L angles for the top fuselage skin were drilled.

The diagonal L angles was confirmed that it did not overlap the lateral L angles at the top skin.

 

 

 

Bottom fuselage skin

 

L angles for the bottom skin were repaired, trimmed and deburred ( alodine preparation ).

Then, the bottom skin were deburred.

The holes for the nut plater in the bottom skin arpound the access holes was expanded to ¼”.

The screw was used to positioned the nut plate to drill the rivet hole in the bottom skin.

 

 

 

With a #40 drill bit, the nut plate was back drilled into the bottom skin. The holes were then deburred and clecoed.
