RUDDER (Repair)

. We have rechecked our Rudder Assembly and found some parts that are not properly trimmed. The first part is on the Rudder Nose Skin (75R2-7) which the rudder tip is not trimmed along the Rudder Tip (75R1-5).

Secondly is on the Rudder Nose Skin Edge, which should be trimmed 10 mm from the rivet line as in the plan. As in the picture, the Rudder Nose Skin Edge is left trimmed with 20 mm from the rivet line.

So, we need to pull out those A4 rivets, and trim as necessary.

We then lay the rudder supported with 2 block of wood and some cloth beneath it to protect the skin from dents.

We then measured 10 mm from the rivet line so that we can draw a line.

We then create a line for our guide to trim the Rudder Nose Skin later

Using an A4 drill bit, we then drill through the rivet head, pull out the rivet head and push through the remaining rivet on the Rudder Spar (75R2-3). We have started on the left Rudder for the first removing rivets operation
