FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION
Today, we will continue to finish few works that undone due to limited space. So, the parts are assembled outside of the main assembly as in the picture above. The parts that are in the picture are Pilot Side Cabin, Pilot Side Gear Strut Fitting, and Pilot Side Seat Base.
These are the holes that need to be enlarged through with #20 size drill bit.
As shown in the picture, we have enlarged 5 #40 holes to #20 holes by using #20 drill bit. As also shown in the picture, there is a sign that is ‘NO DRILL!’. As the sign said, we do not drill through for that hole although the Seat Base have been accidentally drilled. This is because when it is measured, if the hole is through the Gear Strut Fitting, then it will clashed with the Gear Strut Fitting Stiffener on the other Side.
Now we move on to the Passenger Side. Same as before, we will enlarge the #40 holes through the Passenger Cabin Side, Passenger Seat Base and Gear Strut Fitting.
This is a close up on the holes that will be enlarge to #20 drill bit.
As shown in the picture, the holes have been drilled to #20 drill bit. Same as before, as the sign said, we do not drill through for that hole although the Seat Base have been accidentally drilled. This is because when it is measured, if the hole is through the Gear Strut Fitting, then it will clash with the Gear Strut Fitting Stiffener on the other Side. The holes are then deburred.
We then spray black color to the holes that is for the Toe Brake so that it is protected from corrosion.
Next, we move on continue the debur process to all the forward fuselage parts.
