FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION

As planned, we will enlarge the holes in the Gear Strut Fitting to their final sizes. As shown in the picture above, this is the Pilot Side Fuselage.

 

With a 3/16“drill bit, we then drilled through the Gear Strut Fitting and the Cabin Side and Rear Fuselage Side. Gold Colored Cleco is used to hold the Gear Strut Fitting in place after the holes have been drilled.

 

Then, with a ¼” drill bit, we enlarged the hole to its final size and clecoed it with Brown Cleco (1/4” size).

 

And now we will enlarge the holes for both flanges on the L-angles.

 

As shown in the picture, we have enlarged the holes to #20 size as instructed in the assembly plan.
