FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION
Today, we will continue on our process on the forward fuselage. As shown in the picture, it is shown that we need to drill 1 A5 rivet on each of the Gear Channel.
The location is here on the Pilot Side of the Fuselage.
And also here on the Passenger Side Fuselage.
A line 10mm from the bottom edge of the Gear Strut Fitting is then marked. Then, a hole location 10mm from the ends and one half way between. A rivet location that is 10 mm from the edge is then layout, and half way between the bolt locations as shown in the picture.
Then with #40 drill bit, we then drill the Gear Channel and through the Cabin Side.
It also goes the same here.
We then start with the Passenger Side. With a #20 drill bit, we enlarged the #40 holes on the L-angle on both flanges, through the Gear Channel and Side Cabin on the Passenger side and cleco as shown in the picture.
Then we enlarge the #40 holes as shown in the picture to #20 size hole with #20 drill bit on the Passenger Side.
Then we enlarge the #40 holes as shown in the picture to #20 size hole with #20 drill bit on the Passenger Side.
Then, still in the Passenger Side, we then enlarge the #40 holes on the front Gear Strut Fitting, to 3/16” and cleco with gold cleco.
Also on the Passenger Side, we then enlarge the #40 holes on the front Gear Strut Fitting, to 3/16” and cleco with gold cleco.
We then enlarged the hole as shown in the picture to ¼” drill bit and clecoed.
