FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION

Today, we have started to install the Channel Doubler (75F10-2) on the Passenger Side, aft of the aircraft. Same as before, we have pre drilled #40 on the Channel Doubler except the second hole that will be for the AN3-4A on the Gear Strut Fitting. We also have drilled through the first AN3-4A hole on the Gear Strut Fitting through the Gear Channel. We then gripped the Channel Doubler to the Gear Channel, measure so that it sits horizontally and drilled through the Channel Doubler and Gear Channel with #40 drill bit.

Then, we install the Channel Doubler inside of the Gear Channel, and gripped both of the parts with #40 drill bit. With a #40 drill bit, we then drilled through the second hole on the Gear Strut Fitting through the Gear Channel.

We then used a 3/16 drill bit to enlarge the two hole through the Gear Strut Fitting and the Gear Channel and the third hole on the end of the rivet holes.

With a #20 drill bit, we then enlarged the #40 holes that were meant for the #20 size hole for their final size.

Next, we started to continue the process to install the Channel Doubler on the front, Passenger Side. As same as before, we have pre drilled the #40 to the Channel Doubler and drilled through the Channel Doubler to the Gear Channel except for the second hole on the Gear Strut Fitting.

Then, with a 3-16 drill bit, we then enlarged holes as required in the plan. We also have enlarged the ten holes with #20 drill bit. The holes are gripped with temporary fasteners with respect to their holes sizes.
