FUSELAGE JOINING & FORWARD FUSELAGE SECTION

With #20 drill bit, we then enlarged the #40 holes that we have drilled yesterday. Then with #20 Grip Pin, we then clecoed the enlarged holes. All holes are checked to be consistence and follows the construction standards.

Now we move on to the forward fuselage. The bottom most hole for the Pilot Cabin Side has been pre drilled into the cabin frame. As we can see, we have gripped the bottom most hole with #40 Grip Pin that is red in color. We then checked the frame and the holes, and it is in good position. The angle of the bottom fuselage, cabin frame and the top fuselage are also checked for consistency and no issues for now. All angles are within 0-0.5 degrees.

With a #40 drill bit, we then back drilled through the Cabin Side into the Cabin Frame and gripped with grip pin. Now, the holes are ready to be enlarged to #20 holes size.

Then, with #20 drill bit, we expanded the hole and gripped the holes with grip pin as in the picture. The enlarged holes are checked for consistency and following the construction standards.

Now we move on the Passenger Cabin Side. The bottom most holes for the Passenger Cabin Side also have been pre drilled into the Cabin Frame and gripped with #40 grip pin. We then checked the frame and the holes, and it is in good position. The angle of the bottom fuselage, cabin frame and the top fuselage are also checked for consistency and no issues for now. All angles are within 0-0.5 degrees.

With a #40 drill bit, we then back drilled through the cabin side into the Cabin Frame and gripped pin.

With a #20 drill bit, we then expanded the hole and gripped the holes with #20 grip pin. The holes are checked for consistency and follow construction standards.

We then review the Cabin Frame Gusset (75F12-4) and the plan calls for layout 5 rivets on each flange of the Cabin Frame Gusset. We then review the parts that we have applied black coating. As we can see, the parts have two different flanges length, so, we have to be careful so that not mistakenly positioned the Gusset wrong. Until then, will be continued tomorrow.
